One of the tourist attractions in Uganda is the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo, Kampala. In preparation for the Pope’s visit in November 2015 and commemoration of the Martyrs day in June 2016, the museum was upgraded. While this is mainly an attraction for Christian pilgrims, it is open to all visitors. When you visit this museum, you will not only find a souvenir shop, but you will get to learn about a very important part of Ugandan History. It is worth a visit while you are in Uganda
